my 'in the mean time' shop

Last month I had my first ever product photo shoot (I have shared a few sneak peeks on my Facebook page) and I'm super happy with the results. Holly completely understood the look I was after, I loved watching her style my products, the 'mini note card' photos are my absolute favourites but I really love them all! Excited to be working with Holly again soon, I'm going to be using her remote service for some new monogram greetings cards that I am just completing...

Holly also took some photographs of some recent graphic design work so my next step is to update my current website with my lovely new photos and add on my own online shop.

In the meantime I have uploaded some of my new products to my etsy shop. It's wonderful to be getting so many 'favourites' on my products, the 'together is a wonderful place to be' copper foil print is currently getting lots of love and I recently received a 5* review from a lady in Australia!

Last but not least and still going strong is my personalised alphabet print, I designed this print for my little girl when she was a baby (she is now 3 and a half) it has never been advertised but I still get repeat orders and lovely comments about it from people who have seen it on my Facebook page so even though it is different to my other work I felt it still deserved a little home in the shop!

colour trend: copper

I am loving the trend for copper right now so much so that I decided to incorporate it into a new typographic print that I will be selling soon.  This is the mood board that I put together when I first started working on the design, I chose a beautiful deep grey Colorplan card by G F Smith to compliment the copper and I am really pleased with the finished prints.

The next step is product photos and I'm really excited to have booked a photo shoot with Holly Booth Photography in May, I'm aiming for my online shop to be open in June, very exciting!

i'm thinking of you...

It's national Thinking of You week this week, launched by the Greeting Card Association to highlight the emotional power of sending and receiving greetings cards. I have seven cards ready to send, I was a little too late to order this lovely pack of charity cards by some fab designers so I donated to The Mental Health Foundation online here instead.

Meet the designer...

Today I am sharing some photographs of myself and my studio taken by my friend and talented photographer Sarah from Sarah Vivienne Photography.

For a while I have wanted a professional profile photo to use across social media, nothing too posed, something natural that showed me in my creative space and now I have one (or two!). I was a little nervous at first but Sarah put me at ease straight away, noticing every detail like my hands looking awkward or something in the shot that needed to be moved, and I felt comfortable and confident in her abilities. I now have lots of lovely photographs to use on my website and I'm finding it hard to choose just one that I like for my profile photo!

So this is me introducing myself as the face behind Nothing But Lovely.

four today!

Nothing But Lovely is four today!

During the last four years I have met and worked with some lovely people: people starting out in business, taking the first step to turn their dreams into reality, people who have amazing established small businesses, who have become regular clients and friends and people who are getting married, starting the next chapter in their lives. These people make my working days interesting, fun and happy, I couldn't do what I do without them and so I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who I have worked with over the last four years. You have helped to support my small business and for that I can't thank you enough.
